WIRED shows an experiment in turning many cheap portable Bluetooth speakers into a single sonic monolith. The clip highlights a question at the center of the project: can there be too much of a small thing?
A mass of budget speakers
The setup uses scores of the cheapest portable Bluetooth speakers on the market, called the Kallsup. According to the clip, WIRED is attempting something even Ikea has not tried.
The idea behind the test
The video is less about one speaker and more about what happens when many of them are combined. It frames the build as an unusual test of scale, sound, and novelty.
