A Lauderhill police officer is facing multiple felony charges after authorities say he found a man dead during a welfare check, then allegedly tried to take over the man’s home and identity. Investigators say he paid taxes and utilities in the man’s name, forged a signature for repair work, and used law enforcement databases to learn more about him.
